Keith A. Humphreys is a Special Education Consultant from the UK who works in several different countries to support inclusive practices to overlap between mainstream and special school education. His expertise is in the writing and management of curriculum and working with teachers to enhance school development and raise standards of education. He has been Head of Special Education at the University of Northumbria and also a government inspector of schools in England. He has served as the overseas consultant of the SAME Curriculum Project since 2006.

Panacea for Integrated Education???

 

Diversity is the ”real and chill” phenomenon that teachers have to face these days in the integrated classroom. How to effectively cater for the wide range of abilities and levels in a class is the question teachers ask every day.

 

In this sequel to the January Marden Forum Seminar, we report on a pilot project on diversity-based teaching which will focus on the two-week tryout of a teaching paradigm in a general primary school that has individual learning levels as the guide for planning and delivering of a teaching unit. The results of the tryout will be presented and discussed and participating teachers will share their reflections and experiences

 

融合教育的良方妙藥???

 

無疑在融合教育的班房裏,教師們每天都要面對 [學習差異] 這既現實又難於處理的局面。教師們每天都會問:如何有效地照顧班裏學習能力差異大的學生呢?繼一月份舉行的馬登論壇,我們將在是次論壇會報[差異為本教與學模式先導計劃]。計劃內容是在一間主流小學進行為期2星期的教學範式,以學生學習能力水平作參考,設計一個教學單元的教案並在班中以協作教學實踐教學。我們會報告及探討這計劃的結果,參與教學的老師亦會分享他們的意見和經驗。
